All are unique and beautiful in their own way, and we are sure it won’t take you too long to fall in love!

Lake Como

Como, Lecco, Varenna, Bellagio, and Menaggio perfectly combine sophisticated and retrò features to the most dreamy romantic atmosphere.

Aboard a boat, gently gliding over the water, you can admire impressive villas unchanged over the centuries and landscapes made unique by lush shores dotted with ancient villages, waiting to be discovered.

Lake Garda

Lake Garda is a destination full of history, romance and lush landscapes that will make your wedding in Italy truly magical. Nothing could be more romantic than a destination wedding on Lake Garda, location of the greatest love stories of all time, where the beauty is truly palpable, like electricity in the air.

With its rich culture, stunning surroundings, spectacular wedding venues, warm weather and range of exciting activities for all ages, Lake Garda has become a first-choice destination that couples are excited about.

Choose from a number of beautiful, chic, unique, private or off the beaten path wedding venues in Malcesine, Gardone, Sirmione, and Riva, to name just a few. Whether you dream of getting married in a lake-view garden, a romantic church or a medieval castle, Lake Garda has plenty of wedding venues for any couple’s dream day. Your wedding ceremony and attire can be as casual or lavish as you wish. It’s no surprise that Lake Garda tops our list of hot-spots for a fabulous wedding in Italy.

Lake Maggiore

Snow-capped mountains, crystal waters, and the Borromeo Islands welcome you to this romantic part of Italy.

The main town on its shores, Stresa, the so-called “Pearl of the Lake,” has been visited over the centuries by many poets and silver screen divas and writers who came as part of their Grand Tour. Leading hotels in the area are the heritage of this glorious past.

Hemingway wrote his “A Farewell to Arms” sitting in a wonderful suite of one of the most beautiful hotels in Stresa, overlooking the lake and its islands. At the end of the story, Henry, the main character, deserts the army and heads to Stresa, into the arms of the British nurse he’s crazy about. How could you not fall into romantic imaginings about Henry and Catherine at the Hotel des Iles Borromees?

The Borromeo Islands are the perfect frame for your wedding pictures. White peacocks roam in the garden, tame and free. The garden is set on many different levels, each set back from the other, adorned with statues that wave at you from the terraces.

Pretty and traditional restaurants can host an intimate reception just by the shore. Pink paved paths run along Pallanza lakefront just facing Stresa on the other side of the Lake. A peaceful little village where you will find the magic spot for your wedding. 18th-century villas overlooking the lake can be the setting for a refined yet relaxed party.

Lake Orta

Ideal for a romantic and intimate wedding, Lake Orta is the authentic little gem of the Italian Lake district, easily reachable from Malpensa and situated just a few kilometers from Lake Maggiore. Painted houses and old medieval stone buildings enclose narrow cobblestone alleys along the shore.

Catholic weddings on Lake Orta are celebrated in the 17th-century church in the heart of Orta San Giulio village, or on top of the hill, in the sanctuary with great views of the lake. Outdoor civil weddings on Lake Orta are held at Villa Bossi, a romantic lake-view venue where ceremonies are performed in the Italian garden facing the lake and brides usually arrive by rowing boat.

The Piazzetta (the town’s main square) opens onto the shores where small boats await visitors wanting to reach the lake’s island Isola San Giulio. The tiny island is a great photographic setting for wedding pictures when the bride and groom enjoy some time on their own and unwind after the ceremony.

Lake Orta is a great area for those looking for an authentic and off the beaten track destination wedding in Italy.
