Three-Day Wedding in the Tuscan Countryside

Sometimes planning a wedding starts with deciding on the things you don’t want. From the start, our couple from the US knew that a one-night celebration wouldn’t give them enough time with their 160 guests, so we got to work planning an unforgettable weekend-long celebration.

To give the wedding party a true taste of everything Tuscany offers, the party got underway with an exclusive wine tasting tour in Montepulciano, exploring the sun-drenched vineyards and sampling local wines. The next day, the wedding party hopped on an early morning hot-air balloon flight for a breath-taking view of the countryside, followed by a relaxing pool-party. In the evening, everyone gathered for the rehearsal dinner in the tiny hamlet of Casole d’Elsa – the piazza’s old brick buildings festooned with fairy lights providing the perfect backdrop.

Church Ceremony

On the day itself, Meg and Michael married in the village’s ancient church overflowing with white roses and candles. In true Italian style, the reception kicked off with cocktails on the terrace at Castello di Casole, tailed by an incredible five-course Italian banquet. Meg’s favourite Italian singer had everyone on their feet even before the meal had finished, marking the start of an incredible night of dancing, toasts, and fireworks.
