Wedding by the Lake

Cristina and Justain chose the stunning setting of Villa del Balbianello on Lake Como for their Italian destination wedding.

The exclusive historic mansion, which has featured in an array of Hollywood films from Star Wars to Casino Royale, provided a blissful backdrop to their outdoor ceremony.

The location’s striking stone loggia with dazzling views of the lake provided the perfect spot to exchange their vows.

The Birde

Cristina looked beautiful in a princess-style strapless gown with lace-up bodice and full skirt, her hair styled in a gorgeous bridal chignon.

Justain opted for a timeless black tuxedo and bow tie (Mr Bond would approve). The bride travelled to the venue in true Italian style via Riva boat across the lake, while a string quartet set a serene atmosphere for awaiting guests. The love from family and friends was palpable (check out those warm, broad smiles!) as the couple recited their bridal vows.

After the ceremony and a romantic photo shoot in the mansion’s idyllic gardens, the couple were whisked across the lake to their reception at Villa Vittoria. A boutique hotel with secluded lakeside terrace, it provided the perfect venue for Cristina and Justain’s intimate reception.

The Party

The wedding party dined outdoors under a rich, floral canopy entwined with hanging lights.
While floral arrangements of pale hydrangeas and deep red roses dotted with pillar candles made a sumptuous tablescape.

For the wedding meal the couple chose a host of Italian delicacies, including tantalising Sea bass Carpaccio and traditional handmade Paccheri pasta. The final course; a magnificent macaroon tower wedding cake.
